What happens when someone discovers God’s purpose for their life—-and begins to live with greater clarity and purpose?
That’s the heart of The Significance Project: equipping men and women to discover their Godgiven mission and embrace it as Christ-centred, multiplying disciples.
For Mary Jane, it started with a course.
Mary Jane attended The Significant Woman at Bethesda (Bedok-Tampines) Church (BBTC) in 2022. Through the course, she became a regular worshipper at the church. Two years later, in January 2024, she sensed God calling her to serve as a full-time ministry staff member with the Filipino congregation.
After completing facilitator training, Mary Jane went on to facilitate The Significant Woman for 44 women, most of whom are domestic helpers.
Now, the women are taking the next step: starting facilitator training on Sundays so that more of them can be equipped to lead others. Another course for Filipino professionals is also being planned for next year.
Looking back, Mary Jane saw how something that began as a course became much more:
“I saw women grow in confidence, deepen their relationship with God, strengthen their relationship with one another, and begin living out their personal mission statements with greater clarity and purpose. What started as a programme became a community. What began as a class became a life-changing journey.”
And for JJ, discovering his mission brought a new sense of freedom.
JJ attended Man of Impact at Church of Christ of Malaya. As he gained a clearer sense of his mission and priorities, he found himself making decisions with less guilt and inner conflict. JJ shares how Man of Impact has influenced his life.
“Saying no is still not always easy, but I can now ask a better question: ‘Does this help me to live out what God is calling me to in this season?’ That has brought greater freedom and peace into my life.”
Two lives, two different journeys, both finding new direction in how God has called them to live.

The Significance Project is a discipleship course that incorporates life-coaching methods along with facilitators and personal peer coaches to help participants discover their personal mission.
