Uganda Ministry Trainings

It started with a life-changing discovery: a notebook with a URL permanently etched into its pages. Found in 2022 by Ugandan pastors Alex and Thomas, this notebook carried information about Neighbor Bible Studies, or NBS2GO™, the sponsors of an interactive training workshop equipping believers to lead outreach Bible studies.
After a few years of Alex and Thomas implementing the materials, beginning groups, and helping new facilitators begin, they connected with Claude and Lameck, who then participated in the training workshops.
Caroline Schuler, Global Translation Coordinator for NBS2GO, explained, “The goal is to equip believers who have a desire to reach the people around them by sharing God’s Word, equip others to do the same, and see every community transformed by the study of God’s Word.”
NBS2GO training follows a general “pray, connect, lead” structure. Participants are encouraged to pray for those around them, connect and create authentic relationships with others, and eventually lead others in Bible studies and to a stronger relationship with Christ. As Caroline puts it, “What are practical and simple ways to begin laying the seeds of foundation through prayer in your community?” The intention is not to start with the end in mind; rather, they rely on prayer and petition for the Lord’s provision in bringing people together for His kingdom.
Claude and Lameck were the key to expanding the mission of NBS2GO. They knew of many people with willing hearts who wanted to learn how to facilitate a Bible study. They hosted trainings, and a hundred people came to learn how to become Bible study leaders. The number was so great that two sessions were held in order to accommodate them all.
In March 2026, Claude and Lameck began leading NBS2GO in Uganda. They have shared the fruitfulness of the Bible studies, which have helped draw members of different denominations together, encouraged interpersonal relationships between individuals in the workforce, and provided tools that people are in search of, like discipleship resources.
As a greater number of participants join in for the trainings, a greater need for funding exists. Internet data, travel, printing, and refreshments are just a few expenses to be covered. As translations in more languages are also a continuous need, when volunteer translators are not available, funds must be allocated to ensure that proper translations are provided. Please pray for continued financial support for Claude and Lameck’s trainings.
Caroline encourages that, “Anybody can lead a simple discussion of God’s Word.” If you want to learn how to lead an NBS2GO Bible study, click here for more information.
