Creating Gospel Bead Bracelets
A simple bracelet with five colorful beads: yellow, blue, red, clear and green. Each color on the leather strap represents an aspect of the gospel story. We place one in each of our PowerPacks and Easter Bags to tell the gospel.
We will be creating these Gospel Bead Bracelets on June 1 and again on June 12.

Each year we will be giving out backpacks full of school supplies and gospel material in each pack for the new school year.
The 2024 Packing Party for the PowerPacks will be July 13.

Our annual holiday food outreach takes place every November, with the training happening on a Saturday early in the month.
This outreach is an opportunity for the family to participate in helping fill 2,500 food boxes for inner-city families that are given through our network of churches for a Thanksgiving outreach.

Our annual Easter outreach for children — we will be giving out 2,000 bags filled with candy, a piece of fruit, a toy, and a gospel-bead bracelet through our partner ministries. The mandatory training/planning time will be held a few weeks in advance of the Easter outreach. The packing party where our partners and volunteers all work together to assemble the bags will take place shortly before Easter.

We provide a tour of a local university campus sometime in the spring. This is for current high school students, and they will participate in a fun scavenger hunt, receive lunch, get a campus tour from current students, and also hear testimonies from current students who are growing in their relationship with God during their college years. The date will be sometime in the spring.

Ongoing Volunteer Opportunity
S.A.Y. Yes!® youth centers are always needing additional volunteers to come and work with their students in homework help and spiritual development. There are over 18 centers around the greater L.A. area, and several more that are interested in starting.
