Ram Gidoomal comes from a Hindu/Sikh family. While a student at Imperial College London in 1971, he was introduced to Jesus in a pub by the Forerunners, a group of Campus Crusade for Christ musicians.
Ram is Chairman of the ESG Advisory Board of SHEIN, the world's largest online-only fashion company (Singapore) and Board member of the Cook Media Group (USA).
Ram’s former appointments include Board Chairman of London Sustainability Exchange, of CottonConnect Ltd, and of the fair trade pioneer Traidcraft plc. He was UK Chief Executive and Group Vice Chairman of the Inlaks Group, an international niche food production and marketing company with 7,000 employees in 15 countries. He also was the Chairman of Allia, which has raised bonds worth over £4 billion for thousands of social impact ventures and organizations.
Author of several books, Ram has held government and university as well as business positions. He co-founded the Christmas Cracker Charity Trust, which mobilized more than 50,000 young people in the UK to raise over £5 million for good causes in the developing world.
Ram’s work with ministry groups includes his current role as an Advisory Council member of Agape Ministries in the UK (as Campus Crusade for Christ/Cru is known there).
Ram resides in London with his wife Sunita and has 3 children and 7 grandchildren.
