Uni Stories

Esther Lee (NUS)

"I joined NUS Cru in need of a Christian community on campus, and have been blessed to forge cherished and godly friendships! Cru has also equipped and empowered me to share Christ in my everyday life, whether it be making disciples as a spiritual multiplier, or catching God's heart to share the gospel to my unbelieving friends."

Christo Cross Chan (NTU)

"Cru grounded me during my time in uni. The discipleship groups were a spiritual refuge where iron sharpened iron, equally yoked brethren came together to support one another, and a fuller transformation of the self took place. Intentional discipleship paired with missional living created a safe space whilst challenging me to grow in new ways. Ways of personal and public evangelism, ways of understanding my relationship with God, and ways of growing my talents for his kingdom."

Matthew Huang (SMU)

"What is Cru? That was the first question that went through my mind when I first heard of this organization a year ago. As a freshman I was invited to join the Cru freshman orientation and that was my first experience with Cru. During that time I was looking for a Christian CCA to develop my spiritual life, so I was interested to see how this CCA operated, and through this orientation I could say that I met a lot of people who would become my good friends today. Through Cru, I was able to meet with new people, discuss the bible and visit new perspectives in respect to Christianity and my spiritual life. I experienced discipleship and learning of the bible and Christian values through my discipleship group, and hung out with fellow members through the weekly JUMP sessions. So, what is Cru? For me, Cru is my church on campus, my place of fellowship, my group of friends!"
