The Agape Center is a safe, supportive place for people to gather and grow mentally, physically, and in their relationship with Jesus. We offer year-round programming and mentorship for kids, teens, and adults in Roseland, Chicago, where we have been serving our neighbors since 1979.

MENTORING & DISCIPLESHIP

Faith & Fun for Children

  • Description: 1st-8th graders will enjoy supervised fun in the Agape Center gym and game rooms, plus age-appropriate Bible study.
  • Days/Times: Tuesdays, 2:45 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  • Dates: Beginning Tuesday, Oct 21st
  • REGISTRATION REQUIRED!
    • Students can arrive after they get out of school.

Teen Bible Study & Mentoring

  • Description: Teens will learn about the Bible and following Jesus in a fun, interactive, relational setting. Caring adult leaders act as mentors and guides. DINNER is included!
  • Grades: 7th-12th graders
  • Days/Times: Thursdays, 6:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m.
  • Dates: Beginning September 25, 2025

Adult Discipleship Training

  • Description: Adults will learn from God's word and experienced teachers how to grow in their faith and help other people do the same.

EVENTS

Trauma Healing Sessions

Life can leave us with deep wounds — grief, loss, hurt, or trauma that we often carry quietly. But thank God we don’t have to carry it alone.

You are invited to attend a 2-Day Trauma Healing Session at the Agape Center. This gathering is designed to provide a safe, supportive, and faith-filled space where participants can begin the journey of restoration. Together, we will share, listen, and walk alongside one another as we process pain and discover God’s healing presence.

Financial Aid Workshop

  • Description: Getting a college education is important AND possible. Dr Tracy Cureton from TRIO will provide an overview of the benefits of a college degree, plus guidance and support to access financial aid to make it possible.
  • Grades: High school students and parents/guardians
  • Date/Time: Sat, October 18th, 9:30 a.m.–11:00 a.m.
  • Cost: FREE! 

  • NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED.

Evangelism Training

  • Description: Learn how to share the Good News about Jesus with others. Then put what you've learned into practice on a neighborhood outreach.
  • Date/Time: Saturday, October 25, 9:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
  • Cost: $10 for lunch and snacks

  • Description: Children and families can enjoy this safe, fun Halloween alternative. The event will include games, candy, and Good News!
